DIRECT DRIVE WITH INCREASED MASS AND CALM

TD 403 DD uses the same proven direct-drive technology as the successful TD 402 DD, but significantly elevates the design through increased mass and improved mechanical stability. The heavy aluminum platter contributes to high rotational stability and reduces micro-vibrations, providing a calmer foundation for playback.

The result is precise timing, stable pitch, and a background where the music can unfold freely without mechanical character.

TP 150 TONEARM IN AUDIOPHILE CLASS

At the core of TD 403 DD is the newly developed TP 150 tonearm, which is also used in Thorens’ more ambitious models. The arm is inspired by Thorens’ classic designs and combines modern precision bearings with an effective mass that makes it compatible with a wide range of cartridges.

Adjustment of both height and azimuth allows for fine-tuning, while anti-skating is handled via a mechanical solution with a sliding weight and ruby bearing, ensuring stable and precise force compensation.

The detachable headshell with SME standard makes it easy to work with cartridge upgrades or multiple cartridges.

ORTOFON 2M BLUE AS STANDARD

TD 403 DD comes with a factory-fitted and correctly adjusted cartridge from Ortofon. The nude elliptical diamond ensures precise tracking and an open, detailed presentation with clear resolution in the midrange and treble.

The combination of the TP 150 tonearm and the 2M Blue cartridge delivers a balanced and musical presentation straight out of the box, while the turntable retains its upgrade potential.
