Advanced technology from Perlisten’s flagship

The R Series is built directly on technology from Perlisten’s award-winning D Series. At the heart of the R18is is an 18” driver with a fiberglass composite diaphragm, developed from the ground up by Perlisten’s engineers. The combination of massive magnets, a multilayer Nomex spider, a lightweight aluminum voice coil, and multiple aluminum shorting rings ensures low distortion and lightning-fast response.

Each component is fine-tuned through advanced simulation and Klippel laser analysis to optimize performance both in free field and when built in. The result is bass reproduction that combines power and precision at a level normally found only in freestanding reference-class subwoofers.

Intelligent amplification and digital control

The included external amplifier delivers 1,500 watts RMS and controls the subwoofer with complete authority. An advanced 48-bit DSP with a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor monitors and corrects the signal in real time, ensuring precise reproduction regardless of sound pressure level.

The user has full control via the amplifier’s 2.8” color touchscreen or through Perlisten’s app for iOS and Android. Here, you can easily adjust EQ, phase, and low-pass filter, create your own user profiles, and save them for different listening conditions.

Adaptation to the room

With three EQ profiles – THX, Boost, and Cut – the R18is can be fine-tuned for both small and large rooms. The built-in 10-band parametric filters provide additional options for precise calibration, so the subwoofer always delivers deep, harmonious bass that integrates perfectly with the rest of the system.
