A compact headphone with flagship DNA
Although POET is more compact than Empyrean II and Elite, it is built on precisely the same heritage and technology. The new MZ6 driver system is a synthesis of Rinaro’s MZ4 and MZ3SE drivers, delivering a remarkable combination of low mass, high magnetic efficiency, and a sound signature that is closer to the emotional expression of Empyrean and Elite than to traditional compact designs.
The diaphragm is made from Parus®, a sequentially biaxially oriented polymer material that provides low acoustic mass and high mechanical stability. Together with the Hybrid Array magnet structure, the driver achieves a magnetic field of around 0.3 Tesla, enabling extremely precise activation of the entire diaphragm surface. This delivers both fast transients, impressive resolution, and a spacious presentation that feels far larger than the headphone’s physical dimensions.
Sound signature: air, vocal focus, and texture
POET is tuned to deliver an experience in which vocals, acoustic instruments, and ambient details stand out with particular clarity. The bass range is tight and controlled, yet still full-bodied, while the midrange is presented with natural warmth and excellent separation that makes complex recordings easy to follow. The treble range has a light airy accent that adds sheen without becoming fatiguing.
The overall presentation is emotional and immersive – a sound that seeks to convey the essence of the music rather than only its technical information.
Exclusive materials
The chassis combines magnesium for strength and lightness, steel in the grille for stability and precision, synthetic suede in the headset for soft comfort, and titanium alloy in the headband for flexibility and durability. The pattern on the grille is not only a visual hallmark, but is also chosen to optimize airflow and minimize turbulence in front of the driver.
The result is an aesthetic expression that feels like a modern interpretation of Meze’s design heritage: organic, sculptural, and meticulously executed in every detail.
Ear pads for changing the mood of the sound
The magnetic ear pad system, taken from the second generation of LIRIC, makes replacement both quick and precise. The Duo pads combine the controlled bass and resonance strength of leather with the spacious and airy qualities of Alcantara, creating a signature with body and atmosphere. The angled Alcantara pads provide a more open and analytical perspective, where the space in front of the listener expands and the placement of instruments becomes especially clear.
Both pad types are designed to provide a high level of comfort, allowing the listener to immerse themselves in long sessions without fatigue.
Technology: advanced planar-magnetic design
As a further refinement, POET implements AMTS – Acoustic Metamaterial Tuning System – a precision component that covers specific openings in the driver structure and controls high-frequency resonances. AMTS reduces sharp peaks and delivers a more pleasant, relaxed treble.
The driver construction with both switchback and spiral coils makes it possible to optimize bass and mid/high frequencies separately and position the high-frequency energy density directly above the ear canal. This provides a clear improvement in imaging, channel balance, and the perception of spatial detail.
Comfort and balance in everyday use
Although POET is a high-performance headphone, it is also designed to be light and straightforward to use in practice. The weight is low, and the construction adapts to the shape of the head without creating pressure points. The combination of titanium, magnesium, and synthetic leather materials provides a stable yet flexible fit, where the headphone almost disappears physically, allowing the music to dominate the experience.

POET is fully serviceable, which means that all vital parts can be replaced: driver, cable, headband, ear pads, and mechanical components.
