The Kube 15 MIE is a 15" active subwoofer designed to deliver the deepest bass for your movie, music and gaming experiences. It is the largest model in the Kube series, playing so basement-deep and explosive that it almost can be measured on the Richter scale. Even though the Kube 15 MIE goes all the way down to 20 Hz, it's never a case of bass that becomes imprecise and booming. The 300 watt class-D amplifier is incredibly powerful and efficient, ensuring that the bass is always in control and delivered with incredible precision, speed and power.

Subwoofer with advanced DSP and iBX

One of the biggest upgrades in the new Kube series is that KEF has equipped it with their patented Music Integrity Engine® (MIE). This is a very advanced DSP, which ensures that all the components in the subwoofer work in perfect harmony with each other and the rest of the construction.

The MIE acts as the brain of the subwoofer, and one of its functions is the so-called Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX), which analyzes the input signals and makes lightning-quick adjustments. The genius of the feature is that it makes it possible to deliver a much deeper and more dynamic bass than is normally possible. This applies both when you play low and at thunderous high sound levels that can be heard even by the neighbors.

300 watt efficient Class-D amplifier

On the front of the subwoofer, a 15" bass unit is mounted, which is designed with a large cone area and large travel. It provides a higher output at lower frequencies, and it helps to ensure a fast, potent and accurate bass reproduction. It is equipped with an efficient 300 watt class D amplifier that has impressive performance with minimal heat generation.

The Kube 15 MIE has a closed cabinet design, making it easy to place in any room as it has no bass port that needs air around it. The Kube series is also a particularly elegant and timeless subwoofer that will fit nicely into your home with its modern look and rounded corners.

On the back of the Kube 15 MIE, KEF has placed the three intuitive preset EQ settings, which means that you can get perfect bass reproduction, regardless of where it is placed in the room. Here you can adjust the subwoofer depending on whether it is placed completely outdoors, by the wall or in the corner.

SmartConnect and option for wireless connection

Kube 15 MIE comes with a multitude of connectivity options - including the advanced SmartConnect function, which automatically optimizes the gain of the signal depending on whether it is a mono or stereo signal in use. It guarantees that you always get the optimal performance, no matter how your system is configured.

The Kube 15 MIE can also be connected wirelessly by purchasing the KEF KW1 adapter, so you get even more placement options and less cable clutter. The KW1 adapter makes it possible to transmit sound in true high-res, so you are assured that all the details and effects from your favorite movies and music are delivered clearly and precisely.

Smart power modes

KEF has equipped the Kube series with several power modes that allow you to save power when you are not using the subwoofer. With the 'Auto Wake Up' function, the subwoofer turns on as soon as it detects an audio signal. In addition, there is the 'Always On' mode that keeps it ready for immediate playback and the '12V Trigger' that automatically turns it on.
