JBL Synthesis SMA-4750 – Powerful and flexible 4-channel Class-D amplifier
JBL Synthesis SMA-4750 is a compact yet extremely powerful 4-channel Class-D amplifier, designed to deliver maximum performance and flexibility in modern high-end and cinema-like audio systems. With 750 watts per channel at 8 ohms – and the option to bridge channels for a full 2,500 watts – the SMA-4750 is built to drive LCR, surround, ceiling, and subwoofer speakers with impressive control and precision.
The built-in DSP and full network control make it possible to tailor and integrate the amplifier perfectly into any JBL Synthesis system, regardless of the complexity of the setup.
Highlights
• 4-channel Class-D amplifier with 750 W per channel at 8 ohms
• Bridge mode capability: up to 2,500 W at 8 ohms per channel pair
• Built-in 96 kHz / 32-bit DSP for precise speaker tuning
• Dante/AES67 network input for digital signal distribution
• Analog XLR input (balanced)
• Extreme damping factor (>1000) for maximum bass control
• Signal-to-noise ratio above 105 dB
• Compact 2U rack design with low fan noise
• Full network and trigger control for system integration
Uncompromising power and control
The SMA-4750 is developed to deliver high power with low distortion. The efficient Class-D design delivers 750 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 1,500 watts at 4 ohms, while two channels in bridged mode can deliver a full 2,500 watts. This provides a flexibility that makes the amplifier ideal for both high-performance multichannel cinema systems and dedicated subwoofer configurations.
With a damping factor above 1000 and total harmonic distortion of just 0.35%, the SMA-4750 delivers sound that combines power, control, and precision – even at full load.
Advanced digital signal processing
The built-in DSP operates at 96 kHz resolution and 32-bit floating-point precision, enabling accurate speaker tuning and optimal frequency control. The amplifier can be configured via network and integrated seamlessly into professional JBL Synthesis systems, where precision and stability are essential.
Flexible connectivity and integration
The SMA-4750 offers both analog XLR inputs and digital Dante/AES67 inputs, making it compatible with both traditional and network-based audio systems. The amplifier also features 12V trigger control, an RJ45 network port for monitoring and control, as well as high-quality speaker terminals that support both banana plugs and spade connectors.
Compact design for professional installation
Despite its enormous output, the SMA-4750 is built in a compact 2U rack chassis, making it easy to install even in space-constrained environments. The low-noise cooling ensures trouble-free operation in both home theaters and professional studios.
Built for JBL Synthesis systems
As part of the JBL Synthesis ecosystem, the SMA-4750 is optimized to work together with the brand's speakers and processors. It combines powerful output, flexible configuration, and advanced DSP control in an amplifier designed for uncompromising sound reproduction.
