The JBL S3900 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker with two powerful 10” bass drivers, combined with two specially made high-end compression drivers with pure titanium diaphragms, mounted on bi-radial horns made of SonoGlass. The compression drivers are among the fastest drivers in the world, and they play with headroom and dynamics all the way up to 40kHz that far exceed what any conventional speakers are capable of. This enables the S3900 to deliver midrange and ultra-high frequencies with surprising realism and lifelike dynamics. No matter what genre of music you listen to, it delivers such a convincing performance that you will feel like you are sitting in the studio with the engineers and artists. The design itself is available in a beautiful wood veneer or black high-gloss finish, making the S3900 look just as beautiful as it sounds with its refined and elegant design.

A technological masterpiece

The S3900 is built with components of the very highest quality, and many of its solutions are taken directly from the legendary JBL K2 S9900. This makes it an exceptionally capable speaker, able to deliver the best quality from your high-res sources.

To ensure deep and tight bass, JBL has used 2 x 10" paper/fiber drivers that do not degrade the sound at any listening level. The advantage of this is that you will hear the lowest frequencies with unprecedented power and clarity. However, it is not only the deep tones that are crystal-clear — this also applies to the midrange and treble. JBL's special Aquaplas-treated compression drivers provide exceptional high-end response with incredibly low distortion, allowing you to experience natural and realistic tones from your music and movie collection. The 0.75" pure titanium compression driver ensures that even the very highest tones are delivered quickly, precisely, and without strain or distortion.

However, low distortion is not limited to the drivers. It also applies to the speaker's frequency response, where the 33Hz - 40 Khz range provides an extremely smooth and extended sound dispersion. Directivity and power response are high and consistent, and harmonic distortion is reduced to levels that are not audible. The dynamic linearity is second to none, and the rear-mounted port achieves optimal bass response that does not boom or color the sound.

Another stroke of genius in the S3900 is its patented Bi-Radial horn, in which its high- and ultra-high-frequency drivers are mounted. This technology provides a rich and spacious stereo image and a sweet spot that is much larger than with conventional speakers.
