JBL Project K2 S9900 is one of the most advanced and sophisticated loudspeakers in the world. The Project K2 series from JBL goes back many decades, and the Project K2 series has always represented the very best that JBL's High-end division can produce at any given time. These gems perform with a dynamic capability unlike anything found in other high-end loudspeakers.

The exquisite 15” bass driver is specially made for this very loudspeaker, and the magnet system alone weighs a full 16 kg. As something truly unique, a 4” magnesium compression driver has been developed for this loudspeaker, mounted in a SonoGlass horn that is part of the cabinet construction itself, a beautiful detail where the baffle helps ensure a perfect frequency response and controls the dispersion of the delicate midrange. The upper frequencies are handled by a 1” beryllium compression driver that extends all the way up to 50 kHz, mounted in its own high-gloss lacquered housing on a SonoGlass-coated cast aluminum bi-radial horn.

The crossover has also received special attention; all the important capacitors are pre-charged with 9-volt battery voltage, and each individual driver has its own crossover, placed separately in the cabinet so they do not affect each other. The cabinet is in a class of its own; the elegant curves look stunning whether you choose them in a custom high-gloss finish or in the classic wood veneer.
