JBL designed and engineered the 4309 in their world-famous acoustic engineering facility in Northridge, California, so it's a perfect example of what JBL's patented acoustic technologies can do. It all starts with its High-Definition Imaging (HDI ^TM ) horn technology, which ensures far better dispersion than conventional speakers and without the distortion characteristic of many other horn speakers. The horn-loaded tweeter is the patented 2410H-2, which is made of Teonex polymer and has a V-shaped geometry that can reduce the diffraction and distortions. The bass consists of a 6.5" pure cone unit, which ensures the 4309's dynamic and incredibly accurate sound reproduction
