IsoAcoustics GAIA-TITAN Cronos – isolation for heavy speakers

IsoAcoustics GAIA-TITAN Cronos is for those who have very large and heavy floorstanding speakers or subwoofers, where extra demands are placed on both load capacity and mechanical stability. Cronos is the largest model in the GAIA-TITAN series and, with four isolators, can support up to 280 kg per speaker. It mounts directly into the speaker's existing thread as a replacement for spikes or original feet and uses IsoAcoustics' patented directional isolation technology to reduce vibrations between the speaker and the floor.

Isolation for speakers up to 280 kg

Large high-end speakers can transfer significant mechanical energy to the floor. GAIA-TITAN Cronos is designed to manage this connection by isolating the speaker from the surface rather than creating a rigid mechanical coupling through traditional spikes.

IsoAcoustics' design also works with vibrations that can be reflected from a hard surface and carried back through the speaker cabinet. The manufacturer describes the result as improved clarity, focus, and stereo imaging because less unwanted mechanical energy becomes part of the reproduction.

Directional IsoAcoustics isolation

Cronos is designed to isolate the speaker while resisting lateral movement and oscillations. The isolators must therefore be oriented correctly during installation. IsoAcoustics recommends that the logo faces toward the listening position or 180 degrees opposite so that the isolation works in the same direction as the speaker's movement forces. 

Each Cronos can also be individually height-adjusted if the floor or the speaker's design requires a minor correction to achieve stable contact. 

Mounts in the speaker's existing thread

GAIA-TITAN Cronos replaces the speaker's existing spikes or feet and screws directly into the thread in the bottom of the speaker. Adapters in the sizes M10-1.5, M14-2.0 and ½\"-13 are included. If the speaker uses a different thread, a range of alternative adapters is available through IsoAcoustics' distributors. 

If Cronos is to be used on a thicker carpet or a carpet with underlay, special GAIA-TITAN Cronos Carpet Discs can be purchased separately, creating a stable connection through the carpet to the solid floor underneath.
