IsoAcoustics GAIA I - thread adapters for speakers

IsoAcoustics GAIA I Threads are thread adapters for those who need to mount GAIA I feet on their speakers. They are relevant when the speaker's thread does not fit the adapters included with the GAIA I feet. With the right variant, you can connect the speaker's existing thread to the foot.

The adapters are sold in sets of four and are available in several thread sizes and lengths. One set is enough for one speaker with four mounting points. For a pair of speakers with four feet on each, you need two sets. GAIA I isolation feet are not included.

Choose the right IsoAcoustics GAIA I Threads

The thread diameter is only part of the selection. The thread pitch must also match the speaker. M8-1.25 means, for example, 8 mm in diameter and a thread pitch of 1.25 mm. M8-1.0 has the same diameter, but a different thread pitch. It is therefore not enough to know that the speaker uses M8 - the full thread designation must match.

For imperial threads, the last number indicates the number of threads per inch. The designation ¼″-20 thus covers a diameter of ¼ inch and 20 threads per inch. Check the full designation before choosing an adapter.

The length must also fit the installation

GAIA I Threads are available in different lengths, and selected thread sizes are offered as longer Long versions. M8-1.25, for example, is 35 mm long, while M8-1.25 Long is 60.4 mm. They have the same thread size, but different lengths.

So do not choose based only on diameter and thread pitch. Also check which adapter length the installation requires. The designation Long does not refer to one common length across the variants, so always base your choice on the dimensions of the specific adapter.

How to install the thread adapters

Each adapter has two ends: one screws into the bottom of the speaker, and the other into the GAIA I foot. Two lock nuts are used per adapter during installation. The upper one is tightened against the bottom of the speaker, while the lower one is tightened against the top of the foot. IsoAcoustics states that the adapter must be screwed at least four full turns into the speaker's thread.
