Ediscreation Net Silent Extreme

Ediscreation Net Silent Extreme is a hi-fi router developed specifically for music streaming, where the network is an active part of the audio chain. Unlike traditional routers, which must handle many different network tasks, Net Silent Extreme is designed exclusively to deliver a stable and low-noise network for streamers, music servers, and DACs.

By combining audio-optimized hardware, specially developed firmware, and carefully selected high-end components, the router creates optimal operating conditions for digital music playback. The Extreme version builds on the Net Silent Standard with upgrades to component quality, mechanical construction, and power supply.

Net Silent Extreme has been developed with one purpose: to deliver a clean and stable network signal to digital audio systems. Wi-Fi has been deliberately omitted to minimize radio-frequency noise, while the audio-optimized firmware prioritizes network traffic for music streaming over general network functions.

The result is a dedicated audio router in which all resources are focused on stable signal transmission to the hi-fi system.

Audio-optimized firmware

The specially developed firmware is designed for hi-fi use and removes unnecessary background processes. At the same time, the network speed can be adapted to different setups and sonic preferences, allowing the router to be integrated optimally into each individual music system.

This sets Net Silent Extreme apart from a traditional consumer router.

OCXO clock and advanced power supply

The integrated OCXO clock operates with high frequency stability and low jitter. Together with the multi-stage linear power supply, which regulates the clock, network circuitry, and SFP modules separately, it creates stable operating conditions throughout the router.

The audio-optimized toroidal transformer also contributes to low electromagnetic noise and high current capacity.

High-end components

Net Silent Extreme uses components normally found in uncompromising high-end products. These include a Furutech FI-06 NCF IEC inlet, Audio Note Golden capacitors, Mundorf capacitors, and internal UPOCC conductors.

Combined with the internal copper chassis and the patented Ripple Base feet, this creates a stable environment for the router's sensitive circuitry.

Reduces noise from the network

Ground Isolation Switch is designed to reduce ground noise from the modem or main router. At the same time, the optical SFP connection and the audio-optimized LAN ports limit electrical interference between the network's devices.

It provides a quieter foundation for digital music streaming and helps the connected components operate under optimal conditions.
