Tungsten – the material that sets the standard

At the heart of the Darkz S3W are the three tungsten balls, which are placed between the upper discs. Tungsten (also known as wolfram) is an extremely hard and heavy metal with an incredibly dense structure. This makes it ideal for vibration isolation, as it does not deform or transmit resonances in the same way as lighter materials. When the three discs work together with the balls, they create a fluid and stable point where unwanted mechanical vibrations are effectively channeled away from your components and down into the surface beneath. The result is more calm, depth, and precision in the sound.

Materials and cryo treatment – precision at the micron level

All metal parts in the Darkz S3W – including the stainless steel discs and the titanium axle – are cryo-treated. By cooling the metal to -196 °C, its internal crystal structure changes, increasing conductivity by up to 8%. This treatment makes the metal denser, more homogeneous, and sonically more transparent. Mechanical grounding thus becomes both more effective and less colored. Together with the precisely machined parts and the exclusive polished finish, the S3W is not just a technical marvel – but also an elegant addition to any high-end setup.
