BerTTi - Stereo Power Amplifier

BerTTi is the most compact power amplifier in Chord Electronics' ULTIMA series, designed to deliver high precision and low distortion in a desktop format. With 2 x 75 watts in fully balanced operation and the implementation of Chord's ULTIMA dual-feed-forward topology, the amplifier uses active real-time error correction. Signal deviations are monitored and corrected continuously before the output stage, significantly reducing distortion and ensuring high linearity throughout the entire signal path.

ULTIMA TOPOLOGY

BerTTi is based on Chord's ULTIMA circuit topology, which uses dual feed-forward error correction. The system analyzes the signal before output and corrects deviations in real time instead of using subsequent feedback.

This reduces crossover distortion and improves linearity without compromising speed or dynamics.

BALANCED SIGNAL ARCHITECTURE

The amplifier is fully balanced from input to output, minimizing noise and improving signal integrity. XLR inputs provide optimal integration with high-end DACs and preamplifiers, while RCA inputs ensure compatibility with traditional systems.

The balanced design provides better channel separation and reduced interference.

POWER SUPPLY AND OUTPUT STAGE

BerTTi uses two separate power supplies as well as a dedicated extra voltage rail for the input and driver stage. This ensures stable operation and sufficient voltage to drive the MOSFET transistors optimally.

The custom-designed MOSFET devices operate at high speed and with low switching distortion, providing precise signal reproduction.
