We have received a very special set of Børresen C3 in exclusive black high gloss for sale. The speakers are in exceptionally fine condition and have only very few hours of use. The Børresen C3 is the result of extensive development work, where advanced materials technology, extreme mechanical precision, and uncompromising acoustic design go hand in hand. Much of the technology and expertise comes from Børresen's far more expensive speaker series.

Advanced driver technology with extreme precision

Each C3 is built with five specially developed drivers. At the top we find Børresen's own RP94 Ribbon Planar tweeter, which, with its extremely low moving mass, delivers lightning-fast transient response, impressive resolution, and an unusually airy reproduction of the highest frequencies.

The tweeter is complemented by four DCC5 Neo units, two of which handle bass and midrange, while the other two work exclusively with the bass. The units use advanced diaphragms with carbon fiber and a lightweight honeycomb core that combines high stiffness with low weight and effective control of unwanted resonances.

Everything is tied together by an advanced serial crossover, developed with a focus on phase-correct and coherent reproduction.

A cabinet construction without compromise

With a weight of no less than 68 kg per speaker, the C3 is an exceptionally solid construction. The cabinet is heavily braced internally and reinforced with carbon fiber to minimize vibrations and resonances that could otherwise affect sound reproduction.

The result is a speaker with an impressively large and precise stereo image, an unusually black background, and bass reproduction that combines depth with exceptional control. With a frequency range from 25 Hz to 50 kHz, this is also a true full-range experience.

Børresen C3 manages to combine the explosive dynamics and enormous headroom of a large floor-standing speaker with a finesse, speed, and transparency that one would normally associate with much smaller designs.
