Børresen C2 – used floorstanding speakers in perfect condition

We have received a pair of Børresen C2 speakers in trade-in, and they are in perfect condition. This is a rare opportunity to enter the serious end of Børresen's speaker range at an attractive used price.

The C2 is a floorstanding speaker from Danish Børresen that combines several of the technologies the brand is known for with an elegant and relatively slim design. The new price is DKK 187,500 per pair, so this is a speaker from the absolute high-end class.

In the C2, you will find Børresen's RP94 planar ribbon tweeter together with three DCC5 Neo drivers – one bass/midrange and two dedicated bass drivers. The DCC5 Neo drivers use, among other things, neodymium magnets and copper rings in the motor system with a focus on very low inductance and electromagnetic distortion.

The result is a speaker with the speed, openness, and precision that Børresen has become known for. The C2 can create a large and precise soundstage with plenty of air and detail, while the two bass drivers provide foundation and authority in the lower part of the frequency range.

The extremely lightweight RP94 tweeter has a moving mass of just 0.01 grams. This contributes to a very fast response and an airy reproduction where even small details and transients come through clearly.

The cabinet construction is also thoroughly engineered, including carbon fiber panels and internal resonance control. This gives the C2 the characteristic Børresen look, while the design is also intended to keep unwanted vibrations and resonances to a minimum.
