R25B - Premium Subwoofer

R25B is ARCAM’s dedicated high-performance subwoofer in the Radia series, developed for serious stereo and home theater systems where precise low-frequency control and high dynamic capacity are essential. With a 10” (250 mm) coated fiber-composite woofer, an FEA-optimized cast aluminum basket, and a 750W RMS Class D amplifier with up to 1500W peak, the R25B delivers controlled output down to 26 Hz. It is designed to match the amplifiers and speakers in the Radia series, including the AVA35, and offers flexible integration via adjustable crossover frequency, phase, and level control.

HIGH POWER AND CONTROLLED OUTPUT

The built-in 750W Class D amplifier delivers high current capacity with efficient thermal management and low distortion. The combination of high continuous power and substantial peak capacity allows the R25B to deliver both deep extension and fast transient response.

The rear-facing port is precisely tuned to extend low-frequency response without introducing port compression or unwanted overhang.

OPTIMIZED DRIVER DESIGN

The woofer uses a coated fiber-composite cone that combines structural rigidity with controlled damping. The FEA-optimized cast aluminum basket reduces mechanical flex and improves linear movement under load.

This ensures lower distortion at high levels and more precise reproduction in the critical 30–80 Hz range.

FLEXIBLE SYSTEM INTEGRATION

The R25B offers adjustable crossover frequency between 50 and 150 Hz as well as phase and level control, making it possible to integrate the subwoofer precisely with both compact bookshelf speakers and larger floorstanding models.

RCA LFE/Line inputs ensure compatibility with both AV receivers and integrated stereo amplifiers. The 12V trigger makes integration into advanced systems simple and automated.

CABINET AND MECHANICAL STABILITY

The cabinet construction is internally braced and designed to minimize panel resonances under high load. Solid mass and structural rigidity ensure mechanical control at low frequencies.

The Black Walnut veneer finish matches the other speakers and amplifiers in the Radia series and clearly positions the R25B in the premium segment.
