Ansuz Y-Splitterz – get more out of your speakers

Ansuz Y-Splitterz is developed for those who have speakers with bi-wire terminals but use a single-wire speaker cable. It is an obvious upgrade for a high-resolution hi-fi system where you want to optimize the connection between the speaker cable and the speaker terminals without changing your existing cable.

Instead of the traditional metal jumpers between the speaker terminals, Y-Splitterz distributes the signal through a dedicated cable construction, where material selection, resonance control, and noise reduction have been considered from the start.

The sonic difference can be experienced as greater calm, better detail, and a more open soundstage. Voices and instruments may appear more clearly positioned, while the bass can seem more precise and controlled. Ansuz Y-Splitterz thus optimizes a small but important part of the signal path between speaker cable and speaker.

Upgrade the connection between cable and bi-wire terminals

On many speakers with bi-wire terminals, there is a metal jumper fitted as standard between the two sets of terminals. It is a simple way to connect the terminals, but the jumper also becomes part of the signal path between amplifier and speaker.

Ansuz Y-Splitterz replaces the metal jumpers and instead distributes the signal from your single-wire speaker cable directly to both sets of speaker terminals.

It may seem like a small change, but in a high-resolution hi-fi system, even small changes in the signal path can be audible. Y-Splitterz is developed with a focus on reducing unwanted noise and resonance. The result can be experienced as a quieter background, where the small details in the recording stand out more clearly, and where voices and instruments have more air around them.

More calm, dynamics, and precision

The purpose of Ansuz Y-Splitterz is not to change the speaker’s fundamental sound character. The construction is developed to optimize the signal path so that the details in the recording can be reproduced with greater clarity.

This can be experienced, among other things, as better microdynamics and greater nuance. Small variations in attacks, voices, and instruments become easier to follow, while the soundstage can gain more air and separation without losing its musical coherence.

The bass reproduction can also be experienced as more precise. Better definition and timing can make the low frequencies easier to follow and provide more controlled playback.

Ansuz Y-Splitterz S3, C3, and T3

Ansuz Y-Splitterz is available in three models: S3, C3 and T3. Construction and material selection become progressively more advanced throughout the series.

Ansuz Y-Splitterz S3

Y-Splitterz S3 uses silver-plated copper conductors and tinned copper mesh. The connector housing is precision-machined from 316 stainless steel. S3 replaces the traditional metal jumpers with a dedicated solution, where signal transfer and resonance control have been built into the construction.

Ansuz Y-Splitterz C3

Y-Splitterz C3 builds on the construction with silver-plated copper conductors and a copper connector housing. The model also uses two Ansuz Anti-Aerial Resonance Coils, which work to reduce high-frequency noise.

Ansuz Y-Splitterz T3

Y-Splitterz T3 is the top model in the series and uses silver- and gold-plated copper conductors as well as a titanium connector housing. The construction also includes two GOLD-tier Anti-Aerial Resonance Coil leads and is developed for high-resolution hi-fi systems, where even small changes in the signal path can be audible.

A small hi-fi upgrade with potential

Upgrading your hi-fi system does not necessarily have to mean new speakers, a new amplifier, or new speaker cables. If your speakers have bi-wire terminals, the connection between the speaker cable and the two sets of terminals is also worth paying attention to.
