D-580 has been developed with the purpose of preserving as much information as possible from the digital audio source. The signal path has been optimized so that conversion takes place with a focus on natural tonal character, high resolution, and minimal impact on the signal.

The music is reproduced with a sense of calm and coherence, where both the large dynamic swings and the small nuances are given room to unfold.

Advanced DAC architecture

The DAC section works with five digital inputs and uses asynchronous sample rate conversion, where all signals are re-clocked and processed under controlled conditions. At the same time, the USB input is galvanically isolated to reduce electrical noise from the connected source.

Ultra-short signal paths, separate voltage regulators, and precise clock circuits help preserve signal quality throughout the entire conversion process.

Customize the sound to your system

D-580 makes it possible to tailor the digital signal processing to both your system and personal preferences. Upsampling can be activated or deactivated, and you can choose between different digital filters with different high-frequency characteristics.

This makes it possible to fine-tune the reproduction so that it matches the rest of the system optimally.

Advanced noise reduction

Like other products in the 580 series, the D-580 uses several of Audio Group Denmark's noise-reducing technologies. Active Tesla Coils and Active Square Tesla Coils work to reduce electrical noise in the circuits, while Analog Dither Technology lowers the noise floor using precisely controlled counter-phase signals.

These technologies contribute to a calmer soundstage, where details and spatiality are experienced more clearly.

Copper chassis with a focus on resonance control

The 580 series is equipped with an internal chassis made of solid copper. Together with Aavik's composite cabinet, mechanical resonances and hysteresis are reduced, allowing the electronics to operate under more stable conditions.

This provides a solid foundation for the digital signal processing and supports the DAC's overall performance.
