When the performance is far greater than the price
In the latest version of the Planar 1, Rega has rethought every aspect to improve its performance. This has meant that Rega has had to tailor-make a 24 V quiet synchronous motor that ensures precise and stable revolutions, while also effectively reducing vibrations, so you get a better sound quality.
The tonearm is one of the most important components on the turntable, which is why Rega has designed the handcrafted RB110 tonearm, which is constructed with Rega's unique ultra-low-friction bearings from their more expensive models, so the tonearm moves better through the vinyl record. An all-new EBLT drive belt has also been added, which is strung with a blend of advanced polymer materials and provides an exceptionally smooth elasticity and smooth surface over its entire length. The result is a more accurate and stable speed performance, which is a significant upgrade. And it can be measured. The small irregularities in speed, wow and flutter are improved by up to 70% compared to the previous drive belts.
An upgrade that can be heard
The new drive belt can not only be measured - it can certainly be heard as well. A whole new clarity and presentation of the music is achieved, bringing you closer to the recording than ever before. In terms of sound, the upgrade unfolds as increased precision, where the sound image is drawn more clearly. The bass appears with a lifelike dryness, where the instrument is at the center, and the ending at the top gets exactly the space around it that it should have.

Super fin lyd . Meget enkel Konstruktion. Den er koblet til en marantz 70s med et par gode højtalere fra mission og det er bare guf guf at lytte til. Er meget positivt overrasket over resultatet. Kan sagtens anbefale rega spilleren.

Rega markedsfører Planar 1 som en "plug and play" spiller. Og det er den. Det tog en halv times tid at sætte den op. Og den spiller fantastisk. Var lidt afventende i forhold til pickup'en. Jeg har altid brugt pickups fra Grado. Men den medfølgende pickup er bedre end forventet til prisen. Den får detaljerne i musikken med. Den er passe nøytral i lyden. Men Rega er noget tilbageholdende med specifikationer. Jeg har målet pickup vægten til 2.12 gram. Er det som forventet? Hvis det er ved siden af, hvad så med anti-skating? Hvad hvis jeg på et tidspunkt alligevel vil opgradere pickupen? Så er der dårligt med hjælp fra Rega. Alt i alt kan jeg anbefale denne pladespiller!
