Although the Phono Box E is among Pro-Ject's most affordable phono preamplifiers, it is built according to audiophile principles. The advanced circuitry — inspired by Dr. Sykora's acclaimed phono designs — ensures precise RIAA correction with a maximum deviation of 0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

The high gain of 40 dB is suitable for most MM pickups, and the noise floor is kept impressively low via SMD components and an internal metal shield that protects against electromagnetic interference. The result is a sound that is both open, detailed and free of hum.

DESIGNED FOR FLEXIBLE INTEGRATION

The compact housing allows the Phono Box E to be placed very close to the turntable, reducing cable distances and potential noise sources. Inputs and outputs are made of gold-plated RCA connectors for optimal contact and long life, and an external 18 V power supply keeps the unit itself free from unwanted mains noise.

Phono Box E simply connects to an available line input on your system — AUX, CD, Tuner or similar — and is therefore compatible with virtually all amplifiers and active speaker solutions.
