Naim Streaming Platform

At the heart of Mu-so 2nd Generation is Naim's music streaming platform, which has been developed by 25 engineers over three years to offer the best performance, whether you're playing your own digital music collection, listening to internet radio or streaming music from services such as TIDAL and Spotify. This award-winning innovation is unique to Naim music streaming products, which include their Uniti range and dedicated network players, including the £20,000 flagship ND 555.

DSP - The heart of the system

The all-new multicore Digital Signal Processor (DSP) drives system performance, delivering 2000 MIPS (millions of instructions per second) over the original Mu-so's single-core, 150MIPS DSP. You can hear even more of your music with this enhancement.

Naim has created a new "limiter algorithm" that keeps track of each of the Mu-so 2nd Generation's speaker elements when at high volume levels. The new limiter only activates at extreme sound levels and helps preserve music clarity and increase long-term reliability.

Optimized speaker units and functionality

Mu-so 2nd Generation offers a performance, features and functionality that sets a completely new standard within its price range. Mu-so 2nd Generation delivers 450 watts, accompanied by improved and highly optimized units. These units are a joint development project between Naim and Focal R&D departments. Focal has been producing class-leading sound since 1979, and their expertise in loudspeaker development has taken the precision and performance of these units to new heights.

95% Redesigned

Mu-so 2nd Generation is not just an ordinary wireless speaker; it is an achievement in audio technology. It has been re-designed to perfection with a premium aluminum enclosure in a new burnished gray finish.

Although it looks like its predecessor on the outside, most of its components have been upgraded to improve its performance. The cabinet has been re-designed to create 13% more internal volume, enabling bigger and better bass. Both the cabinet bracing and baffle molding have been redesigned to improve rigidity and control vibration.

The distinctive heatsinks are now more compact but still ultra-efficient and continue to feature Naim's patented technology which discreetly integrates the Wi-Fi antenna.

Multiroom functionality

With Mu-so 2nd Generation you can enjoy music throughout your home. With the Naim app, you can synchronize multiple Mu-so units and create a fully synchronized multiroom system. You can stream different music in different rooms or play the same song throughout the house, perfect for parties or relaxing.

You can also connect Mu-so 2nd Generation to your TV for an extraordinary sound experience. With HDMI ARC, you can easily connect your TV and stream your favorite series and movies with crystal clear sound.

Simple operation

Operate Mu-so 2nd Generation with ease. You can use the Naim app on your smartphone or tablet to select music, adjust volume and control other settings. In addition, there are practical touch buttons on the top of the device, which make it easy to change songs or adjust the volume without having to use your phone.

Mu-so 2nd Generation is also compatible with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control your music with your voice.
