Mark Levinson No. 5206 is built on many of the same technologies as the flagship No. 526 and delivers a listening experience in the absolute high-end class. As a reference preamplifier, the No. 5206 is developed with Mark Levinson's Pure Path design, where the entire analog signal path operates in pure Class A to ensure maximum signal integrity and musical precision. In addition, it is equipped with a dedicated Class A headphone amplifier, an advanced MM/MC phono stage, and a high-resolution Precision Link II D/A converter for modern digital audio sources.

The preamplifier is, of course, fully balanced in classic Mark Levinson style, with an internal design optimized with discrete components, extensive shielding, and ultra-short signal paths. The integrated Precision Link II DAC supports high-resolution digital formats, while Bluetooth with aptX HD makes it easy to stream music from a smartphone, streamer, or TV, among other devices—without compromising sound quality.

No. 5206 is built around Mark Levinson's Pure Path circuitry, where the entire analog signal path operates in pure Class A. The design uses discrete components, extensive internal shielding, and short signal paths to preserve the signal's integrity throughout the preamplifier.

Precision Link II DAC

The built-in Precision Link II DAC is developed for modern digital audio sources and supports PCM signals up to 32-bit/384 kHz as well as DSD256.

The MQA Full Decode certification makes it possible to play compatible MQA recordings in full resolution, while the advanced digital signal processing ensures natural, well-balanced, and detailed sound reproduction.

Premium Pure Phono

Vinyl enthusiasts will appreciate the integrated MM/MC phono stage, which offers both capacitive and resistive loading adjustment.

This makes it possible to optimize the interaction with a wide selection of cartridges and ensures optimal operating conditions for both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil systems.

Class A headphone amplifier

The No. 5206 is equipped with a dedicated Main Drive Class A headphone amplifier that draws directly from the analog preamplifier section.
