KECES Ebravo is a digital streamer transport for those who already have a DAC they are happy with, and therefore do not need another D/A converter in their streamer. Ebravo focuses on the streaming section and sends the music digitally onward to your DAC via optical, coaxial, or AES/EBU. Digital streamer transport for those who want to choose their own DAC

What we especially think makes sense about the KECES Ebravo is the clear division of labor. It does not try to be a streamer, DAC, and preamplifier all at the same time. Instead, it works as a pure digital transport, so you can let a separate DAC handle the conversion.

That is interesting if you have already invested in a DAC you want to keep, or if you want the freedom to upgrade the streamer and DAC independently of each other. The digital signal can be sent onward via optical, coaxial, or AES/EBU with bit-perfect playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz. In this way, Ebravo can take on a clear role in an existing hi-fi system without taking over functions that other components already handle.

Streaming should also be easy in everyday life

Even though Ebravo is focused on its task as a digital streamer, operation does not have to be complicated. It supports Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, so the music can be selected directly from the apps many people already use.

In addition, DLNA and JPLAY are supported, while KECES lists Qobuz, Deezer, and TuneIn among the services in the accompanying streaming solution. The network can be connected via both dual-band Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and Bluetooth 5.1 provides yet another option when the connection needs to be quick and simple.

The work happens between the network and your DAC

It is between the network connection and the digital output that KECES has put much of the work into Ebravo. A low-jitter reclocker handles the timing of the digital signal, while galvanic isolation between input and output is intended to limit the transfer of electrical noise through the signal path. KECES also highlights the reduction of both digital and network noise as a central part of the design.

Ebravo requires 12 V / 1 A DC via a 2.5/5.5 mm connector, which also makes it possible to pair it with a compatible external linear power supply.
