JBL Summit AMA is sold as a demo model in very nice condition. It has been unpacked and inspected, so everything works as it should.

There may be a few small cosmetic marks, but nothing that affects sound or function. A powerful and musical integrated amplifier with plenty of control and the well-known JBL energy – ready to become part of a serious hi-fi setup. JBL Summit Ama is the top model in the Summit series for 8-inch bass and is developed for the demanding music enthusiast who wants reference quality in a compact, stand-mounted format. It combines advanced driver technology, acoustically optimized cabinet construction, and luxurious materials to deliver sound reproduction where precision, detail, and musicality go hand in hand.

The name Ama comes from Ama Dablam, “Mother's Necklace,” an iconic 6,812-meter mountain that dominates the horizon when seen from Everest Base Camp. With its striking, elegant profile, Ama Dablam is known as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas” – a perfect metaphor for the speaker's combination of strength, beauty, and technical finesse.

HDI HORN DESIGN

Summit Ama is equipped with JBL's D2815K 1.5-inch dual-diaphragm, dual-motor compression driver, which is integrated into a precision-molded Sonoglass® High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) horn. This combination ensures high sensitivity, low distortion, and precise control over high-frequency signals, providing a wide and well-defined soundstage with exceptional clarity.

HC4 WOOFER FOR POWERFUL AND PRECISE BASS

The foundation of the speaker consists of an 8-inch woofer with a cast frame and JBL’s exclusive triple-layer Hybrid Carbon Cellulose Composite (HC4) cone. This construction combines carbon fiber and pure paper pulp with a closed-cell foam core for optimal stiffness, low weight, and internal damping. The result is high power handling, minimal distortion, and precise bass reproduction even at high volume.

MULTICAP™ CROSSOVER FOR MAXIMUM SIGNAL INTEGRITY

Signal distribution between the woofer and compression driver is controlled by JBL’s MultiCap™ crossover network. By replacing large capacitors with several smaller ones, ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) is reduced, increasing signal transfer, improving dynamics, and minimizing losses. Summit Ama can be connected via both single-wire and bi-amp/bi-wire, providing flexibility for different amplifier setups.

CABINET WITH RESONANCE CONTROL AND LUXURY FINISH

The cabinet construction uses curved walls, offset multi-bracing, and heavy internal damping to eliminate internal standing waves and resonances. Finish options include high-gloss black with platinum details or high-gloss ebony with gold details, both with carbon fiber baffle trim for an exclusive look.

INTEGRATED STAND WITH ISOLATION FOR SONIC PURITY

Summit Ama comes with a specially designed, mass-loaded floor stand with JBL | IsoAcoustics® isolation feet. This combination decouples the speaker from the surface, reduces vibrations, and improves bass response, stereo image stability, and overall clarity.
