Cambridge Audio L/R S – compact stereo for the desk and smaller rooms

Cambridge Audio L/R S is a compact set of active stereo speakers for the desk, kitchen, or smaller rooms. Amplification and connections are built in, so you get a complete stereo system without the need for a separate amplifier.

With 2 x 50 watts, Bluetooth aptX HD, USB-C, as well as optical and analog input, L/R S can be used with, among other things, a computer, phone, and TV. The two separate speakers give you a true stereo perspective in a format that is easy to place. If you later want more energy in the deepest bass, the system also has a dedicated subwoofer output.

Cambridge Audio L/R S delivers true stereo in a compact format

With Cambridge Audio L/R S, you get two separate speakers and therefore the stereo separation that comes with a traditional stereo setup – without the need for a separate amplifier. This makes the system well suited when space is limited, but you still want music reproduced from two physical speakers.

Each channel has 50 watts of amplification, while a 21 mm aluminum tweeter and a 3\" long-throw woofer/midrange handle the sound reproduction. The frequency range is specified as 55 Hz–24 kHz ±3 dB.

If you want more energy in the deepest bass, you can connect an active subwoofer directly to the RCA subwoofer output. This makes it possible to expand the system later without changing the stereo setup itself.

Connect a computer, TV, and wireless audio sources

L/R S is more than a set of Bluetooth speakers. The various inputs make it possible to gather multiple audio sources around the same compact stereo system.

USB-C makes the speakers ideal for use with a computer, while the optical TOSLINK input can be connected to compatible TVs and other digital sources. In addition, you get an analog RCA input.

For wireless playback, Cambridge Audio L/R S supports Bluetooth with SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX HD. You can therefore use the speakers with different audio sources and move the system to another room if your needs change.

The two speakers are connected with an analog speaker-link cable. If you need greater distance between them, a longer 5-meter link cable can be purchased separately.

Adjust the sound for music, movies, and speech

Cambridge Audio has equipped L/R S with DynamEQ, which automatically works with the frequency balance in relation to the volume. This is practical in a compact stereo system that may be used at different sound levels – from music at the desk to movies and TV.

You can also choose between the EQ settings Normal, Movie, and Voice, and thus tailor the sound reproduction to the content. Operation is handled with the included Bluetooth LE remote control.

The cabinets measure just 134 × 226 × 180 mm. Cambridge Audio L/R S thus combines amplification, multiple connection options, and two separate stereo speakers in a system that does not require much space.
