R35C - Centre Channel Loudspeaker

R35C is a dedicated centre speaker in ARCAM’s Radia series, engineered to match the R35 and the other Radia models in tonal balance and dynamics. With two 5.25” Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) woofers, a 1” DCC aluminium dome tweeter integrated into an Acoustic Lens waveguide, and a precision-tuned crossover at 1.8 kHz, the R35C delivers linear dialogue reproduction and stable horizontal dispersion. The frequency range extends from 55 Hz to 40 kHz, and with 6 ohm impedance and 86 dB sensitivity, it is designed to work optimally with amplifiers in the 15–200W class, including the AVA35.

DUAL MCC CONFIGURATION

The two 5.25” MCC woofers operate in parallel to increase cone area and reduce distortion at higher sound pressure levels. This configuration ensures better dynamic headroom and stable reproduction of voices and effects in the centre channel.

The ceramic composite structure of the MCC cones reduces breakup and ensures controlled movement in the mid-bass range.

DCC TWEETER WITH CONTROLLED DISPERSION

The 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter is mounted in an Acoustic Lens waveguide, which controls horizontal dispersion and reduces diffraction. This is especially important in a centre channel, where consistent sound distribution across multiple listening positions is crucial.

The waveguide contributes to stable dialogue placement and consistent tonal balance throughout the listening area.

OPTIMISED CABINET DESIGN

The cabinet construction is internally braced to reduce panel resonances and ensure structural stability under load. The rear bass-reflex port is tuned to provide controlled low-frequency support without boom.

The dimensions make the R35C well suited for placement under larger screens or in dedicated AV furniture.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

R35C is fine-tuned for optimal integration with ARCAM Radia AV processors and amplifiers. Timbre matching with the other Radia models ensures a consistent tonal character across the front channels.

The nominal impedance of 6 ohms and moderate sensitivity require a current-capable amplifier to realise the speaker’s full dynamic potential.

POSITIONING

R35C is developed for installations where precise dialogue reproduction, controlled dynamics, and tonal consistency across the front channels are prioritised. It delivers a stable and focused centre channel with linear response and even dispersion.
