About the Raidho X Series
This series is the entry level from Raidho, but it is by no means an entry level series in terms of technology, performance and its visual beauty. The series is about giving the listener maximum performance for the money. In fact, each X model uses a slightly smaller version of the tweeter that sits in the €210,000 statement speaker - the TD6.
The optical design of this series is very beautiful. All models fit discreetly into any home. The floor speakers have an elongated wing shape, curved side panels and bass reflex ports like no other. The amazing beauty continues inside:
The base unit
This chassis is not only very sophisticated and hand-built in Denmark, but is also a small work of art. Raidho's Ceramix technology starts with a thin aluminum cone and then uses a liquid plasma process and incredibly high voltage to transform the outer skin of the metal into alumina ceramic. It is a time-consuming and expensive process, but the finished diaphragm is a unique, natural sandwich of thin, rigid skins on either side of a "softer" aluminum core, creating a structure that is stiffer than a pure ceramic cone, but with a excellent self-damping. The first break occurs at an incredible 12.5 kHz.
The motor system consists of powerful neodymium magnets arranged around a very open system, ventilation of the speaker with the advantage of cooling the titanium voice coil and part of the construction that usually leads to distortion. The result is that the speakers disappear even more from the equation and a sound image without audible distortion and with a jet black background that highlights the instruments and a holographic sound image.
