COMPRESSION DRIVER AND HDI HORN
The Summit Pumori features JBL's patented D2815K 1.5-inch dual-diaphragm, dual-motor compression driver, coupled to a precision-molded Sonoglass® HDI™ horn. This combination provides extremely high efficiency, low distortion and precise dispersion of the highest frequencies, resulting in an open, well-defined and wide soundstage.
HC4 MID-BASS AND WOOFER FOR POWERFUL SOUND FOUNDATION
The midrange is handled by an 8-inch midbass driver, while the deep bass is delivered by a 10-inch woofer, both built on robust molded frames. The drivers' HC4 triple-layer construction combines carbon fiber and pure paper pulp with a core of closed-cell foam. The result is an optimal combination of stiffness, low mass and damping, ensuring high output, low distortion and impressive control at high power.
MULTICAP™ CROSSOVER FOR OPTIMAL SIGNAL REPRODUCTION
Signal distribution to the individual drivers is controlled by JBL's MultiCap™ crossover network. By replacing large capacitors with multiple smaller units, ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) is reduced, increasing signal throughput, improving power handling and preserving dynamics. With both single-wire and bi-amp/bi-wire options, Summit Pumori can be precisely tailored to the listener's setup.
CABINET CONSTRUCTION WITH INTERNAL DAMPING AND RESONANCE CONTROL
The Summit Pumori's cabinet is constructed with curved walls and internal offset multi-bracing to eliminate internal standing waves. Heavy internal damping ensures a neutral acoustic environment, allowing the drivers to perform with maximum accuracy. Finish options include high-gloss black with platinum accents or high-gloss ebony with gold accents, both with carbon fiber baffle trim for an exclusive look.
ISOLATION FOR PRECISE BASS CONTROL AND SOUND PURITY
To prevent vibrations from affecting sound reproduction, the Summit Pumori is equipped with specially designed JBL | IsoAcoustics® feet. These isolation elements decouple the speaker from the substrate and reduce the transfer of mechanical vibrations, resulting in tighter bass, improved stereo perspective and greater clarity across the entire frequency range.
