The MOON 400M is a compact yet extremely powerful monoblock power amplifier, designed to deliver both raw power and refined musicality. POWER AND MUSICALITY

Despite its relatively compact form, the 400M delivers a whopping 400 watts into 8 ohms and 650 watts into 4 ohms, giving it the power to handle even the most demanding speakers. A high damping factor ensures full control at the bottom, where the bass is tight and dynamic, while the resolution at the top remains natural and detailed.

The amplifier operates in pure Class A up to 10 watts, which means that for normal listening it delivers the same warm, natural sound as the most musical high-end amplifiers. When power is required, it switches seamlessly to Class AB, where it exploits its full potential.

CONSTRUCTION AND TECHNOLOGY

The MOON 400M is built with fully balanced differential circuitry, ensuring maximum signal purity and minimal noise. The proprietary MOON bipolar transistors are precision matched to provide more accurate bass reproduction and a more natural soundstage.

The power supply is based on a specially designed toroidal transformer, ensuring stable power under all conditions. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 106 dB and a frequency response of 10 Hz to 125 kHz, the 400M reproduces music with openness, calm and realism. Distortion is kept to a minimum – just 0.02% at low levels and 0.05% at full output.

DESIGN AND PRACTICE

The cabinet construction is compact with a width of 43 cm, a height of 8.9 cm and a depth of 35.6 cm. The weight of 15 kg testifies to the solid construction. Despite its size, the 400M delivers performance normally only found in much larger amplifiers.

Like all MOON products, the 400M is built to seamlessly integrate into modern installations. It is equipped with both a 12V trigger and RS-232 port, making integration into advanced sound systems and custom-install solutions simple.
