The Michi P5 S2 is a technological tour de force of a preamplifier, where every detail has been fine-tuned with 129 component upgrades to deliver unrivaled sound quality. The many upgrades create the most rich-sounding and engaging preamplifier Michi has ever produced. The new dual-mono 8-channel ESS SABRE ES9028PRO DAC is at the heart of the P5's digital-to-analog conversion, ensuring exceptional precision and clarity. The upgrades include a new volume circuit, improved tone controls and optimized digital input stabilization, which provide a significant improvement in signal processing and sound quality. The DAC now operates in current mode, developed in close collaboration with ESS to maximize performance.

The new DAC and technological upgrades are supported by two in-house manufactured toroidal transformers that deliver noise-free power to all essential circuits. The Michi P5 is equipped with the latest ESS SABRE ES9028PRO 8-channel 32-bit DAC, replacing the AKM DACs from the previous generation. The new ESS SABRE DAC creates a significant improvement in sound quality with both more detail and lower noise floor. All signal paths have also been carefully revised, and together with the many other component upgrades, it helps to provide better timing, accuracy and dynamics. The result is a preamp that is even more precise and engaging to listen to than its critically acclaimed predecessor.
