With the LS50 Wireless II, KEF has managed to do what was unthinkable just a decade ago – they have created an all-in-one speaker that can replace the many separate products and cables of a traditional system, without sacrificing either sound or performance. The LS50 Wireless is a true high-end performing speaker that can reveal every detail of your favorite music, which you can stream from Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer or Roon through AirPlay 2 or Chromecast. The advantage of the LS50 II is that its lightness, ease of use and high sound quality will make you hear much more music. And every note, word and detail of it.

However, the LS50 Wireless II doesn't limit you to just streaming music from various services, as you can also stream music directly from your network server. With the LS50 Wireless II, KEF has made it possible to play high-res sources such as 24-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD256 and MQA.

High performance and large sweet spot

The LS50 Wireless II introduces the 12th generation of KEF's unique and patented Uni-Q unit, which has been improved in several ways through KEF's Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which won What-Hi-Fi's 'Innovation of the year' award in 2020.

MAT is a complex labyrinth-like structure of varying sizes and lengths that is able to absorb specific frequency ranges, creating an “acoustic black hole”. KEF has placed the technology behind the tweeter, which means they are able to absorb a full 99% of the unwanted sound from the back of the unit. The result is that distortion is eliminated, maximising the pure and natural sound. It’s the innovation that we’ve come to know and love KEF for.

As we have come to expect from KEF, KEF's 12th generation Uni-Q with MAT and a completely reworked motor system ensures that you never miss the sweet spot. This means that you get a significantly better stereo image, where the sound becomes much more three-dimensional and realistic. Exactly how the music actually sounds, and how our ears are designed to hear it. Add to this the fact that KEF has equipped the LS50 with its DSP technology, which is tailored to the Uni-Q unit, and then you slowly begin to understand why the LS50 Wireless II is such a good-sounding and entertaining speaker as it is.

Powerful amplifier with a whopping 760 watts

Inside the speakers you will find an incredibly powerful set of integrated amplifiers, which help to ensure that the sound is as precise, rhythmic and tight as it is. KEF has upgraded the amplifiers so that each speaker has a 280 watt class-D for the low frequency range and a 100 watt class-A/B for the high frequency range. This gives an incredible 760 watts per system and a bass and midrange that can fill the entire room with a fantastically detailed treble, and a nice and controlled bass/midrange.
