With seven HDMI inputs, two outputs and eARC, you can connect all your devices—including TVs, projectors and game consoles. Powerful Class AB Amplifier and ESS SABRE PRO DAC

The AVR5 is equipped with seven powerful Class AB amplifiers, delivering 60 watts per channel (86 watts per channel with two channels driven). Class AB amplification combines the advantages of Class A and B amplifiers, resulting in high efficiency and low distortion. This ensures pure and precise sound reproduction that captures even the finest details in your music and movies. To further optimize sound quality, the AVR5 uses an ESS9026 Pro DAC, which ensures high-resolution audio reproduction with exceptional clarity and dynamics. The combination of the powerful amplification and the advanced DAC provides an audio experience beyond the ordinary, where every nuance and detail of the soundtrack is highlighted with impressive precision.

Dirac Live® and Bass Control room correction

To ensure the best possible sound in your specific room, the AVR5 is prepared for Dirac Live®, one of the most advanced room correction solutions on the market. Dirac Live® analyzes the acoustics of your room and adjusts the sound to eliminate unwanted resonances and reflections, resulting in a more balanced and natural sound experience. In addition, the AVR5 supports Dirac Live® Bass Control, which uses advanced signal processing to optimize bass reproduction by analyzing data from both the subwoofer and main speakers. This provides a deep and precise bass response that integrates perfectly with the rest of the soundstage. Please note that Dirac Live® and Bass Control are available for an additional fee via the Dirac website.

Native decoding of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

With the ability to process up to 12 channels, the AVR5 lets you create an impressive 7.1.4 or 5.1.2 surround setup. It supports native decoding of the latest immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. This means you can experience three-dimensional sound, where the sound moves around and above you, creating a completely immersive experience. If you don't have the option of installing ceiling speakers, the AVR5 also offers Dolby Height Virtualization and DTS Virtual:X, which simulate height effects without the need for additional speakers.

Integrated Streaming and Multiroom Features

Streaming is an integral part of the AVR5's functionality. With built-in support for Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth with aptX® HD and Spotify Connect, you can easily stream your favorite music from your smartphone, tablet or computer. The free MusicLife app gives you additional control and the ability to stream from local network sources via UPnP. The AVR5 also supports MQA (Master Quality Authenticated), meaning you can stream high-resolution audio from services like Tidal Masters. What's more, the AVR5 is Roon Ready, making it easy to integrate into advanced music streaming systems.

7 HDMI inputs, HDR10, Dolby Vision and 4K

The AVR5 is equipped with a wide range of connectivity options to meet all your needs. It has seven HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs (including eARC) with 4K passthrough and support for HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, ensuring compatibility with the latest video formats and giving you excellent picture quality.

Although the AVR5 does not come with HDMI 2.1 as standard, it has been designed with film enthusiasts in mind. The focus is on the best sound and picture quality for movie watching, where HDMI 2.1's 120Hz functionality is less relevant as no films are produced in that format. For those who want HDMI 2.1 capabilities for gaming, all Arcam AVR models can be upgraded to support HDMI 2.1 and 8K.
