ADVANCED CLASS D TECHNOLOGY WITH OPTIMIZED MODULATION
The I-288 uses the latest version of Pascal Class D technology with improved UMAC modulation, which provides faster switching, lower noise and lower output impedance. This ensures precise speaker control and balanced sound reproduction across the entire frequency range. The high power capacity of 2 x 600 watts into 4 ohms enables the amplifier to drive even demanding speakers with full control.
RESONANT MODE POWER SUPPLY WITH LOW NOISE DELIVERY
The amplifier is equipped with a power-factor-corrected resonant mode power supply, which operates on sinusoidal signals for clean, stable and low-noise energy transfer. When additional power is needed, the frequency is adjusted to increase current density without compromising sound quality. The result is an extremely low noise floor, ensuring optimal performance in all load situations.
FULL ANALOG CROSSOVER FOR FLEXIBLE SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The I-288's integrated crossover system is fully analog and allows for fine-tuning of the high-pass and low-pass filters. The user can connect subwoofers and de-stress monitor speakers for low bass, optimizing efficiency and reducing distortion. The feature also allows integration with external power amplifiers and allows for room acoustic adjustment of problematic frequencies.
OPTICAL VOLUME CONTROL WITH ANALOG PRECISION
The knurled titanium control wheel on the front of the I-288 controls the volume with an optical shaft coupled to a digital encoder. This design ensures seamless operation and precise adjustment in 76 steps, while maintaining the analog signal undisturbed. A permanently illuminated Aavik logo completes the aesthetic.
TESLA COIL TECHNOLOGY FOR NOISE-FREE SOUND
The I-288 utilizes 72 active Tesla coils and a whopping 168 active square Tesla coils, placed in the circuit for effective elimination of electrical noise. These coils work with counter-coils to neutralize unwanted voltage spikes and improve signal transparency. The active architecture makes the system up to four times more efficient than passive solutions, creating a more focused and pure music reproduction.
3RD GENERATION DITHER TECHNOLOGY FOR DEEP MUSICAL PEACE
The third generation of Aavik's analog dither technology is based on pulse-based anti-phase signals at carefully selected frequencies. This method lowers the noise floor and increases signal coherence, opening up the soundstage and making even the smallest details of the recording audible with unprecedented precision and musicality.
ANTI AERIAL RESONANCE COILS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST RF POLLUTION
The Aavik I-288 is equipped with five anti aerial resonance coils that absorb and neutralize RF noise picked up by cables and shielding. These components work on the principle of counter-wound coils, which prevents RF interference from being conducted into the signal path. This provides an undisturbed and uncolored reproduction with fully preserved musicality.
DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE – AND FOR THE EYE
The design of I-288 is the result of a collaboration between Flemming Erik Rasmussen and Michael Børresen. Every detail is well thought out, from the refined cabinet and integrated controls to the choice of materials and design. The technical and the aesthetic are united in an expression that both pays tribute to Aavik's heritage and points towards the future.
