DIGITAL PRECISION AND ANALOG WARMTH

At the heart of the 791 is the MDE-2 DAC, delivering a level of resolution and purity that few can match. With a frequency response from 2 Hz to 200 kHz and a dynamic range of 125 dB, even the finest nuances in the music are reproduced with natural openness. Distortion is reduced to just 0.0004%, ensuring sound that is precise, effortless, and faithful to the original.

MOON 791 is equipped with a built-in high-end phono stage that can be adapted to a wide range of cartridges. With adjustable gain settings of 40, 54, 60, and 66 dB, as well as multiple options for both capacitance and resistance, it is possible to find the perfect match for both MM and MC cartridges. The result is natural, organic sound reproduction, where the warmth and detail of vinyl are preserved intact.

STREAMING AND CONNECTIVITY

The MiND2 module provides access to the biggest streaming services and supports high-resolution files, allowing music to be enjoyed in studio master quality directly from the network. With six digital inputs, including USB, optical, coaxial, and HDMI ARC, the 791 can function as a central hub in both hi-fi and home theater setups.

In addition, there are three analog inputs, providing the flexibility to connect both digital and classic analog sources. The 50-ohm output impedance makes it easy to integrate the 791 with a wide range of power amplifiers – including the powerful MOON 761.

DESIGN AND EASE OF USE

MOON 791 is built to impress both visually and technically. The 48 cm wide chassis and weight of 19 kg underline its solid construction, while the front is adorned with a 4.3” color display that provides a clear overview of settings and playback.

With the included BRM-1 remote control, operation is both intuitive and elegant. Power consumption is optimized so that the unit uses only 25 watts at idle and just 5 watts in low-power standby – an example of how the 791 combines high-end performance with modern efficiency.
