4.5" polycellulose ribbed bass/midrange driver
Stage 240B is equipped with a 4.5" polycellulose ribbed bass/midrange driver. This is a pure pulp cone driver with a proprietary blend of materials that improves stiffness and the driver's mass. The result is deep, precise, room-filling bass that delivers an authentic and engaging sound experience.
1" anodized aluminum tweeter in newly designed HDI™ waveguide
Through intensive research, JBL has developed a new, complex waveguide geometry that improves directivity and reduces diffraction. The next-generation HDI™ (High-Definition Imaging) waveguide is combined with a 1" anodized aluminum dome tweeter, ensuring a neutral frequency response both on and off axis. This results in clear, detailed, and precise high-frequency sound reproduction.
Precision 2-way crossover for optimal sound
The Stage 240B bookshelf speaker features a precise 2-way crossover design that uses high-quality components to ensure optimal sound reproduction. The high-frequency section contains air-core inductors and Mylar capacitors, which reduce distortion and improve sonic performance. The low-frequency section includes laminated core inductors and electrolytic capacitors that can handle more power and transmit energy more quickly, enhancing the system's performance.
Flexible mounting options and magnetically attached grilles
Stage 240B includes brackets for easy wall mounting and an industry-standard 1/4-20 threaded insert for use with aftermarket mounting systems. In addition, the speaker features magnetically attached grilles, unique trim rings, and a floating front baffle design, giving the speaker a sophisticated and modern appearance. These exclusive details are typically not found on speakers in this price range.
Rear-facing bass reflex port and anti-slip pads
Stage 240B is equipped with a rear-facing tuned port that reduces air velocity at the exit, eliminating coloration of the output and ensuring clean and powerful bass reproduction. In addition, Stage 240B includes anti-slip pads that keep the speaker securely in place and minimize vibrations.
